ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
Did you know that you can become a Member of AWS for just a $25 tax deductable donation?

If you are interested in adopting a cat or dog, please stop in and fill out an application. There are many wonderful cats and dogs awaiting their forever homes. If adoption is not an option for you, there are several other ways you can still help... become a member, sponsor a pet or volunteer some of your free time by walking dogs, cleaning cages and more. At AWS we would like to see that each and every cat or dog that enters our facility finds a loving permanent home. In the meantime, all of our residents are loved and cared for by our many devoted employees and volunteers.

AWS MEETINGS
Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month. Please check the main page of the website for the date, time and place of the meetings.

AWS NEWS NOTICES INFO

AWS is in desperate need for donations to our medical fund. Money donated goes directly to the animals of the shelter who need medical work done before they will be ready for new homes. We are currently facing a particular situation that will nearly drain our medical fund, and we have established a special opportunity for donations to help us over this. To learn more and donate, click here or on the gofundme logo.

AWS WISH LIST. Like many non-profit organizations, we have a list of items we normally use at the shelter which do not always fit into our budget. We gladly accept donations of (or financial contributions toward) items on our Wish List.

The AWS WISH LIST has been updated to include the ability to donate directly to specific projects and certain funds. Using this option, you can now decide exactly where your donation will be used.[+] Visit our Wish List Web Page

September 27, 2014. THIS COMING SATURDAY!
10th ANNUAL AWS DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
Early weather reports say the day is going to be gorgeous!

This is our major fund-raiser for the summer months and a very well-attended community event held directly on the shelter grounds. A great time for all – dogs and humans alike! If you are interested in helping out or would like more information, contact the shelter directly, by phone (860.354.1350), by email (awsnm.volunteers@gmail) or just stop by during our regular hours.

You can also help us out by downloading, printing and posting our 2014 Dog Days Event Poster!

OUR NEW SIGN! It was designed by Erica Morey and Keria Fame of Brookfield for their Silver Award Scout Project. The girls donated all labor and materials. In addition to the sign - the girls held a food drive and designed a bulletin board in the shelter. A job well done!
